JP Wilson - About the Developer

For the past 30 years, John P. Wilson has been an influential force in the real estate industry. He founded the Golden Movement Emporium - the world´s largest architectural antique dealer in 1970. 

His attention to detail and his commitment to historic restoration won him acclaim in magazines such as Fortune (May 21, 1979), Time (July 16, 1979) and Newsweek (June 16, 1980).

Because of Mr. Wilson's passion for historic preservation, he and his partner began buying older buildings on Main Street in Santa Monica, California with the intent to restore these buildings to their original splendor. This formula proved quite successful and he then turned to Pasadena, California where he began a 500,000 square foot downtown restoration project in cooperation with the city. The City of Pasadena imposed very stringent guidelines for rehabilitation but Mr. Wilson met these challenges and went on to receive awards from various Governmental agencies including the State of California, the City of Los Angeles and the City of Pasadena.

In 1977, Mr. Wilson co-founded Kennedy-Wilson Real Estate Auctioneers where he remained actively involved until he sold his interest. The company is known today as Kennedy Wilson and is now an international real estate services & fund management firm headquartered in Beverly Hills with 20 offices throughout the United States and Japan.

Mr. Wilson is known as a leading edge visionary in the real estate development community. It is this vision that has motivated him to apply his experience in the restoration of millions of dollars of architectural antiques, and to develop a series of home developments in Costa Rica. His broad based knowledge of large commercial construction projects combined with his attention to preservation and restoration standards will make him uniquely qualified to be the builder of your future home.

Project Manager

J.C. Miller is the construction manager for the Buena Vista project. He brings to the project 28 years of experience in the construction industry in Canada and his track record includes hands on experience with all aspects of residential and commercial construction and renovation. He has a natural ability to earn the respect of site staff and trades and possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. For the Buena Vista I Project, he will be responsible for quality control, scheduling, problem solving, and overseeing all aspects of the construction process.

After several long-term stays in Costa Rica, Mr. Miller and his wife decided to move to the Arenal Lake area where they now reside on a permanent basis
